Plus, you won’t ever have to be concerned with repairing or replacing a motor. On the other hand, an electric crank reel makes it much easier and faster to deal with pulling and rewinding hose. If speed is an issue, or you (or your employees) don’t want to deal with the fatigue that comes with hand reeling, a motor-equipped reel might be worth the extra investment.

Reel Capacity

You'll also want to consider the capacity of pressure washing hose reels. Hose capacity is typically listed in product information, and generally the capacity increases or decreases with the width of the drum. Make sure to pay attention to the capacity in relation to the diameter of your hose. For example, the same reel might fit 400' of 3/8" hose, while only fitting 300' of 1/2" hose.
