Do I Need to Use Pressure Washing Soaps?

Chemicals for pressure washers are formulated with the chemistry required for specific cleaning purposes rather than blasting surfaces with as much pressure as it takes to remove stains which can cause damage.

  • Acids (about 1-6 on the pH scale) – Removes heavy oxide, salts, metal particles, and rust.
  • Neutral (7 or very close to 7 on the pH scale) – Washes away light oils and dirt.
  • Base/Alkaline (about 8-14 on the pH scale) – Cuts through heavy oils, grease, fats, proteins, and heavy grime buildup.
