CAT recommends you use their oil to get the most from your pump and not void any current warranties. Keeping the CAT pump on your pressure washer properly lubricated is crucial to maintaining peak performance and efficiency while maximizing the lifespan of the unit. Take note of the crankcase capacity listed in the manual for the model your using on your pressure washing unit, and be careful you're putting the correct amount in without overfilling. Recommended oil change frequency is once after the first fifty hours, and then every three months or 500 hours after that. Pro pressure washing companies can put hours on pumps very quickly, so it's a good idea to have plenty of oil on hand to take care of changes as soon as it's needed.
